Sounds like i need to measure a original mount and make a drawing from it, or maybe see if it can be butchered and a new rubber end put on albeit not anything fancy or oil filled.

I may well consider 3d printing some mounts if possible. I have just read about some suitable plastics that are durable and ideal....If they can take the heat
