Default Alternator Regulator Part No??

Dear All,
Having watched Simon's excellent Youtube video on changing my Alternator Regulator and brushes I am getting confused with obtaining the correct part number. My car is a 2003 V70 D5. In Simon's video I can see the replacement part number is F 00M A45 211....according to Ebay this number is NOT correct for my car but F 00M A45 211 P is correct. Any ideas folks? I have contacted Bosch UK for some clarity but still awaiting an answer....

As always, all help gratefully received,
Kind regards,

Nobby

The exact item I ordered and fitted to my 2004 D5 (euro 3) is listed as:
"BOSCH ALTERNATOR REGULATOR VOLVO OEM F00MA45211"
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324011390...m=324011390341

The old regulator that came off my D5 alternator was labelled F00M145369.
Either way, I've had no issues with the new one.

It's a few years since that video and the regulator has always been and continues to be working fine.
You just have to be careful with facelift models (green feed wire into regulator) which use a different method of regulating but if you're pre facelift like in the video (red wire into the regulator), the regulator shown is fine.

Thumbs up Thanks guys.....

I'll check the wire colour just to be sure but as mine is pre-facelift I think I will almost certainly be ok....
Thanks again,
Nobby

Would said regulator cause an power system warning when the car is started for a second then go out?

Had a power system service required warning on mine a couple of months, checked the battery with a voltmeter with and without the engine running and it seemed the battery wasn't holding charge but it still said the same after fitting a brand new bosch battery
