Default I've lost a thread.... and losing the plot searching.

Evening all,
I'm trying to find a thread - its the one where the dealer was kindly giving a full breakdown about your car if you gave him the VIN Number.

Trying to find it as I'd like a list of all the extras on the car we have.
I thought I'd bookmarked it, but clearly not. And bizarrely its not in my posts but I know I gave it to him and got the answers.

And yes, I know I have them in my signature but wanted the Volvo codes for them.

Any help to find it would be very appreciated

Cheers

That's the one - Thanks Peter.

Bizarrely the posts stop on page 54 - Mid August 2019.
I got mine in Jan 20 and know I had a response for it.
Guessing its just lost now its closed.

There was a subsequent thread to the one linked to as I also obtained the spec of my V90.

That thread was deleted, I believe because the poster got so many requests for car details it was impacting their work so asked for it to be removed.

If you want to revisit your previous post, the thread is still cached on google. What I did to get mine was put my user name in the search and part of my VIN number and was able to then view the cached copy. To do this, from the search result, do not click on the thread, but use the dropdown at the end of the link and select view cache.

If you do need this information, then you could just email your local dealer and ask them for the build sheet - it should be simple enough for them to look up.

Thanks Mannyo,
I think its the subsequent thread I'm after and not the one posted by Peter.
My bookmark shows this link:

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...297409&page=33 but it takes me to a dead page.
I contacted Admin and they say its still active and told me to try without the page number...
IE: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=297409

But that too is taking me to a dead page - which I have reported back.

They have just emailed back saying it's definitely active and to follow this path:
Forum index -》general topics -》 there you'll see the "sticky" topics at the top and this is one of those.
I'm at a loss - I just can't see it

Maybe it has, as you say, been deleted??

So with your "Cached Page" example above... are you putting that into Google??
If so, then I am not getting a result.
Its kind of annoying because I'm no stranger to forums, consider myself quite tech savvy but this has got me beat!
Any help you can give would be great.

Lets just say they are a little less than helpful - they did say they would send the original Ad as that shows everything... but that hasn't arrived despite a couple of chasers.

Call a different dealer. Waylands of Reading have been good to me. Getting a build sheet for a Volvo isn't the worlds most difficult task.

My local dealer is exemplary. When I bought my C70 I popped in for some basic servicing items and asked the parts chappie if he could tell me what the build spec was. He looked it up and read out the info for me and then when I paid for the bits and pieces handed me a print out of the build spec along with the invoice for the parts. No fuss, no drama. Had the same experience at my local BMW dealer when we bought 'er indoors Mini Cooper. Went in for an oil filter and came out with filter and build sheet. I find the parts chappies, generally, are very helpful.
