Default Replacing factory audio

Hi anyone ever used the bassjunkies kit for a single din
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262915401783
Anything to look out for or anyone suggest anything that's cheaper than £170 whilst keeping the steering wheel and parking sensor in place ?

You're already at looking at spending £169 and that's before you've spent a couple of hundred on a decent double DIN head unit. If it were me, I'd at least look into the repair costs before ripping it all it all out.

Due to the presence of a fiber optic MOST databus for the audio system any replacement will be expensive to integrate, and may well cost a lot more than repair of the existing system

Default Faulty radio .....

Not quite on subject, but related -
Radio in my 2006 XC90 - problem with the stereo. At medium levels the right side of the stereo disappears, can only get it back by waggling the volume knob at high level. Presumably related to the stupid voltage-controlled volume controls, not proper potentiometers like we oldies used to know. Doesn't respond to the old treatment of squirting Servisol everywhere.
Would like to look inside anyway, does anyone know if you can pull the knobs off without wrecking anything, or can you get the whole radio panel off ? Mine has the equally stupid built-in mobile phone. (And the totally useless SatNav, but that's another story.)
Bottom line I 'spose is looking for a replacement radio from a scrapper. But not many of these Ironclads have been scrapped yet anyway ...
Your thoughts would be welcome.

Sounds like you should keep the radio and change the car, that is likely the best action to make you happy

Sorry, didn't understand that.
It was supposed to be a serious enquiry.
