I just thought you might get a more positive response by adding some back-up to the 'best in country' statement.

Mmmm ... agreed, 'W.S.'. To be honest, I didn't immediately recognise it as a 'For Sale' ad. Even if I was only remotely interested, I would certainly want rather more information than that which 'millymolly' provides. We don't even know it's year, or whether it is a saloon or estate.

Regards, John.

Will save a lot of wasted phone calls if you post a few pics and some more details.

The advert at least tells us it's a Volvo 240, which is a start. It's better than those roadside adverts that just say For Sale on a sign propped against an old chair. The chair? The house? Vegetables?
Don't know, not worth stopping.

But if someone can't be bothered giving more details I can't be bothered finding out.

Looking at the OP’s posting history, this was his first post on April 28th.

‘1991 volvo 240 gl full service history silver black leather no tears sunroof immaculat lots of money spent on it no rust whats so ever pictures availbal for more imformation phone john on 02392478218 for the sum of 5000 pounds ono.’

He was logged on yesterday and didn’t respond to any of the messages that have been put on his for sale thread. Very curious.

It is none of those it is the actual For Sale sign that is for sale.

He always asks for folk to phone him. It's probably a good way to weed out folk who aren't interested. He's been around on the forum for a while and it seems this is how he does things for whatever reason. If this is a rust free immaculate 91 240gl for 3500 and if I was looking to buy then I would be giving him a call.
