I need to fit a tracker to my friend V70 I don't really want to put it behind the dashboard does anyone know where there is a 12 volt live that won't eventually drop off

Would the interior lights not have a permanent live? After all you can turn those on and leave them on even when the car is parked and locked[obviously in this state the battery would eventually go flat]I suppose it would depend on how much of a power drain the tracker would cause and how often the car was used.

I believe there is always power to the fuel flap solenoid.
