Default Cruise Control

Hi,

Just wondering if the big barrel looking thing on my Brake Servo is the switch that turns off my cruise control. It has a mind of its own and im trying to trace the fault.

Not directly no , but if it goes faulty it could disable cruise control , you will get a fault code about the brake position sensor if it is faulty .

I am not getting any fault code just that when I set the cruise control it may last the whole journey or 30sec, it just turns itself off.

you should be able to communicate with your cruise control with a decent fault code reader and it will store the last cause of disengagement ..

Hi Jason,
Don't know if this helps, but my cruise control stopped working, and the problem was simply that a wire had become de-soldered at/or near the stalk on the steering column.
Cheers.
