Default waiting For Volvo Asstance Again ! ! !

10 month old D5 geartronic 10 000 miles on the clock, with a red triangle and message " engine system service urgent" see what they say when they get here. Supposed to be taking my wife away for the weekend tomorrow, hotels booked. Not happy at the moment !

Will be interesting to see who turns up. I know Land Rover many years ago used to use the AA, then had a dedicated fleet of Discoverys run by Mondial Assistance, now gone back to AA.

Sorry trip away gone wrong. If there is a shop near you, I suggest you pop out and buy a box of choccies for SWMBO.

Well eventually they turned up after 3hrs, it was a chap with a recovery lorry from Wakefields. Started the engine and sure enough still a red triangle and "engine system service urgent", he plugged in his fault reader and couldn't find any stored codes. He then disconnected his reader and all went back to normal ! ! ! The engine sounded sweet at all times, with or without the warnings. I'll get it booked in with the local dealer for sometime early next week to get it checked out on the volvo diagnostic system.

Any ideas anyone please ???

Well my wife took it in to the dealers today and they have said the fault message was caused by a faulty sensor in the exhaust, which one they never told her and she of course didn't ask ! ! !

But there can't be too many sensors in the exhaust can there ? 1, particulate 2, lamba 3, back pressure are all I can think of.

It's going back in on Thursday to get it fitted what ever it is anyway !
