XC60 Front Footwell Lights

I'm replacing my front footwell lights with blue LED which I purchased online. Have fitted the drivers side which plugged straight into new lamp and works perfect but going to fit passenger side and there are three wires on plug (only 2 wires on drivers side plug) and only 2 terminals on each of the new bulbs...would the 3rd wire on passenger side be an earth????? Not sure where I go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

I am personally going to follow this thread very carefully. Exactly what i had in mind. Can't help you on that but i think it will be cool if the lamp you're replacing isn't a too bright LED. Only a mourning light... you know what i mean? But to get the effect desired in my opinion, you should also (if you can) go for the driver and passenger door along the rear ones. Or at least the rear footwell lights.
A shame Volvo didn't remember to also give us the possibility to change all those lights via Sensus.
