Thumbs up SE lux nav 90k mileage or SE 45k mileage for similar price

Dear All

I am a new member and want to get your expert view as I am indulging in getting an used Volvo.

May you please recommend what would be a better buy

(1) XC60 2013 SE lux nav with c90k mileage (power seats, sat-nav, power boot, beige leather upholstery etc, auto diesel))
or
(2) XC60 2013 SE 45k mileage (auto diesel)

Both are similarly priced the SE is slightly more expensive.

We are a family of 3 with the child being 3 year old. I have always driven a BMW and looking for a car which has higher seating as I've had a surgery earlier in the year which restricts me bending down for a saloon car.

Will appreciate your feedback :-)

I'd be inclined to go for the Lux, especially if it is a facelift model and the SE has the hideous part analogue dash.

Obviously taking into account history & condition.

Is either a facelift model?

Can you post links?

At 90k the engine is very much broken in. Not beyond service (mine has 90k and is as sweet as a nut) but very well run in.

At 90k your auto box oil will be degraded and require a change (I was shocked how bad mine was. It will be due a cam belt, idler and tensioner (if not already done) and perhaps discs soon too.

At 45k I would not worry about the gear oil for at least 15k. The aux belt may need changing but not cam etc for a while. And it has half the miles.

This advice is now spot on if you have the VEA 2ltr 4 cylinder lump. Volvo have moved the servicing goalposts recently in relation to belt changes and autobox fluid change but have for some reason decided to circulate discretely only to main dealers rather than vehicle owners on their database.
