Default C30 T5 Stage 1 done

So have finally got my Stage 1 remap done on the C30! Everything seems to be working although it was a bit nerve racking as I ended up having to do the transfer myself (took it to Shark a month back but they didn't have the tuner in house so had to have it posted).

Car drives brilliantly now - loads of extra power exactly where it was missing it before - can't believe how different it is. Have remapped 2 cars in the past but nothing with as much impact as this. Just need an uprated exhaust to make the most of it now.

My only small disappointment is that I couldn't get dyno graphs having done the thing at home. Reckon I'll be in the market for new brakes, clutch etc. pretty soon though - more power = fun but it also makes a hell of a lot more torque (and noise) than before - could be an expensive summer!

Thumbs up

Excellent result and very fair adjustment, pays to be honest.
Missus got a D5 se lux geartronic c30 and we find its quick enough and the 0-60 time of 7.8 is pretty close to accurate.
Just out of interest has the remap altered your 0-60 time on the t5 or is just smoother through the gears and power range(0-60 time for t5 given as 7.4)?
I dont intend to alter ours just curious.

I haven't measured the 0-60 but I imagine it will have improved. The original map always felt quite sluggish. I am going to see if I can get some tests run and get back to you

The Mountune Focus ST (which is just a stage 1 remap + uprated intercooler) will beat a Focus RS to 120mph and this has been verified by more than 1 company.

Also, I believe autocar tested the mountune focus ST as 2 seconds quicker in 6th gear than the Focus RS (though I guess that is due to the small turbo on the ST)

Given that the Focus RS has a 0-60 of 5.9's, I'd say your remapped C30 will be very close to that.
