You should be much nearer the 2k mark. I sold my T4(Sept99) in Jan this year with 96k miles on it for £1500 and no one really wanted it for that, I was only the second owner and it was unmodified with stacks of reciepts. If yours is a phase 1 car it wont even be worth 2k I wouldnt think. Cars just arent selling at the moment, the T4s are a niche a market and modified ones are even harder to sell.

Have you looked at what they are going for elsewhere and if they are selling that should give you a good base price to sell it at, phone up some of the ads when the following weeks autotrader has come out and see what sold. What is the mileage out of interest.

I feel your pain buddy I sold mine this year and it was a beauty great spec un-modified more history than than the pyramids and was kept so clean and was waxed using the finest products (in short a real head turner even if I say so myself) well I started the price around £3k thinking it would fly off the drive then dropped it again and again took a few calls on it from people attracted by the looks etc but they all wanted to talk economy !!!! (calling to enquire about a 200bhp estate and asking about economy GO FIGURE HUH)
any how to cut a long story short I took it to several local used car lots and sold to the person who gave the highest price (£1900) I took a slight loss but took the tax disc (if it had been a private sale at any of the higher prices I would have thrown in the disc for free) so I felt I'd done well .
I think sometimes its easy to think of cars as not really dropping too much in value once they hit a certain age my T4 cost me something along the lines of 80p a day in depreciation over the time I owned it and gave SO much fun it was well worth it

The future tax situation on cars like these has it must be said weakened the values, I still don't know what it would have cost to tax when the new system comes in and I think most people are the same (scared of being stuck with something that costs a bomb to tax)
