Probably a good point
You have jogged my memory as I did this on an old RS2000 rally car this was beceause the brakes were too heavy and this increased the leverage. Making a lighter pedal.
In The V70 case you could do it by moving the push rod closer to the pedal pivot point it might make the pedal firmer but I would be surprised if that will make such a difference it will be very difficult to move the push rod far enough.
In the case of the RS2000 i could move the push point by about 1".
It is certainly worth looking at from the comparison point of view - BMW/Volvo differences.
A useful comment as I have done this before and provided you can physically do the mods it certainly can work.
