Default Blown rad fuse

Please HELP! My V40 diesel keeps blowing its 30a rad fan fuse. i have disconnected the fan but it still blows! After further investigation, at fuse panel in the engine bay, its seems that the same fuse also feeds the engine relay (which does what?) and something else? Can anybody help?

Default RE: Blown rad fuse

Engine relay is the main relay for the engines ECU and other bits that are activated when ignition is switched on.

S/V40's don't really suffer from wiring problems except on some cars the wiring harness that runs under the radiator the two main red power feed wires can get streched and become uninsurlated so shorting on the body.

I would start by lifting rad and inticooler up or could remove them if you really want and unclip that wiring harness and open it up and check each wire to make sure its okay and repair as nessercery.
