Default V40/S40 Heater Control Unit

I need to replace the Heater Control Unit in my 2003 V40.
With A/C but no climate control as in picture below.

I've been quoted nearly £500 for the part brand new.

Can anyone recommend any breakers (online) that would sell this part? Have searched loads to no avail.

Thanks.

Aaronius posted a picture of the your control panel in his thread. He might give you details regarding the pic of the picture if you ask him nicely

What is wrong with your unit? Why does it need to be replaced?

Hi, The one I looked at on ebay was a direct replacement for yours.... No ECC - so I had to buy a different one. (I wish I had waited - I could have bought the one listed above, it's cheaper than what I paid.)

Another most common problem is with potentiometers. One is for fan speed, and another for temperature. I replaced both, because my fan and AC light were switching like in circus:

Have you checked or replaced the resistor under the glovebox. The two things that will affect the speed of the fan are the heater control panel and the resistor. It could also be possible that the acutal heater control panel is faulty itself somewhere else and not necessarily the potentiometer

Default climate control?

Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice....I have 2000 phase 2 V40 with same heater control unit pictured above (including aircon).
Is it possible to retrofit a full climate control facia panel in its place?
If so how much work is involved (eg are the current heater panel connectors compatible or are there additional changes to the wiring loom required?)

Thanks
