Have you had this confirmed?

Mine is due this month, but not had any comms yet - but I gather collect is going to be allowed for car dealerships. I'm not sure if that will be offered though

I'll be phoning about mine later today/tomorrow.

Had a call from the dealer this morning. They aren't 100% sure what's going to happen, and if they can somehow offer new car pickups they will do there best, but there is still admin stuff in the background (DVLA registration, form signing etc) that needs to be able to be done still.

The call ended with that unless I hear otherwise then expect to wait.

EDIT: Just looking on the web, and it seems that new car collections (or deliveries) are probably going to be allowed still. So suspect it may be down to the individual dealer as to whether it's offered or not.

Thanks for the info.

I'll update here once I've spoken to my dealer. Haven't heard anything since 6th September as it is, so won't surprise me if it is delayed.

Spoke to my dealer today, and they've said they are doing click and collect (they did this previous lockdown apparently).

Mine is due at dealers between 17 & 27 November so all on track. However, they said final build date is next Friday - Friday 13th. Nooo

Friday 13th build on a 2020 car.

I was hoping I didn't get a call last Friday (13th) as well, and I didn't.

Anyway, just had a call today saying that they expect the car in on the next transporter either today or Monday :-)

Say they need to check it over etc, but should be ready by mid-week, though I don't think I will be able to pick it up until Friday.

Ian.

Nice one. Not had my call yet but did get an email last week to say will be with dealer 19-26 November. Hoping to pick mine up by next Saturday at latest. My XC40 goes on Monday so carless for a few days.

Happy new car week for next week

Just picked mine up. Very nice, have come from a 12 plate XC60, and though similar, it's also different. Seems much more luxurious, and so far the B5 petrol engine seems good. Quieter then the D3 diesel I had, and (though I didn't rev it too high) powerful enough. First automatic car I have had, so need to get used to that, kept putting my hand down to the gear nob in situations where I would have changed gear in a manual car.

Nice one, sounds like you're happy on first impressions.

Would have loved to have gone petrol myself. Picking my B4 up at 11 tomorrow.
