Default Volvo S40 150A Alternator

Bought an alternator for my wife's 2004 S40SE way back in February - it, [the alternator], has been whining away since then.

Never bothered fitting it as the car ran without a hitch after one 'dead' engine scenario that the AA could find no explanation for.

The alternator finally packed in today and it turns out I'd bought the wrong one anyway,
so I'm now looking for the right one to get her back on the road !!

The one I bought is therefore surplus to requirement: £70 including delivery

These are all the numbers written on the alternator.

Denso 104210 - 3522
3M5T - 10300 - YC
30667068
12V - 150AMP
R6ZCC
Made in Japan

The knacked one was stripped out tonight and it had similar numbering

Denso 104210 - 3761
3M5T - 10300 - VC
8688170C
12V - 120AMP
R6ZCC
Made in Japan

Martin ,

It's still in the box that was delivered to me.

Are you 100% sure it's the one you want?

If so, it's all yours.

*** UPDATE ***

Just had a quick look on Ebay.

There are 2 of these alternators going for £185 - "buy it now" or - £115 with a part exchange.

Little wonder it would not fit the wife's S40 1.8SE - this is for a diesel vehicle!!
That's what I get for not checking it over when I first got it

THIS UNIT FITS THE FOLLOWING VEHICLES:-

VOLVO S40 II 1.6 D 2005-> Onwards
VOLVO C30 1.6 D 2006-> Onwards
VOLVO V50 2.0 TD 2004- > Onwards

So, £70 incl del is a bargain

Have you still got the alternator Homer, I need a 150amp Denso for my 54 plate S40d, I think yours will fit but I need it very soon.
Cheers.
