Default Knocking...

Over every bump there is a NASTY knocking sound coming from both sides of the front of my 440, suspension struts or something?

Is this something that can be swapped from a donor car? (That has no knocking)

And, something that can be done on my driveway?

could be the exhaust. temperarily wrap it in something heatproof and drive over some bumps. if the knocking is less, you found the culprit

REALLY don't think its the exhaust to be honest! The knocks distinctly come from both sides of the front, sort've by the wheels.

could possably be the bearings. jack the car up and see if the front wheels have movement in any plane they're not meant to..

Thats one of the things I was going to suggest or check the anti roll bar bushes, difficult to access but worth it for improvement in handling!!!! They're up by the bulkhead, one each side:-)

Hey,

Don't know if this helps but I had the same knocking noise coming from the front near side after I changed the brake disks. Turned out the caliper was loose and that was causing the noise. Simple to fix though. Good luck with it.
