Default do all D5 engines use the same bottom end?

do all D5 engines use the same bottom end?

The reason I ask is, I have a 2009 c30 with a D5244T13 and it has thrown a leg out due to water intake.

The head is good, as is crank, but one or more pistons are damaged aswell as obviously the block.

Any info would be great. Thanks

I think they have changed at some point around 2008 based on a post I seen here about where the thermostat is hiding. I'm sure someone better informed than me will confirm

Yes, crank is good, thankfully, its the bottom end casing i need but complete would be handy.

Is the thermostat housing the only difference? Would the head of my 09 engine fit say an 06 block?

surely easier to drop in a complete- or short- engine than rebuild the damaged one.

Roughly the d5 engines between 2001 till 2010, but beware that there is difference in sensor connections and crankcase ventilation heating or oillevelsensor absence before 2005

Sounds good, If I get a bottom end 05 - 09 would your best guess looking at vida suggest they are the same? will my 09 head be compatible with an older block? Just before I pull the trigger on the purchase lol

If they are the same part number, they're the same part, otherwise tread carefully.
