V40 d4 2016 no start and service steering message also black

Hi I have a v40 d4 car wouldn't open from fob had to use key in passenger door, checked battery charged it up doors unlocked but car won't start or attempt to start screen on dash is black then a message comes up saying service steering, can't read fault codes as can't turn ignition on, it has key fob and a start button any help would be appreciated thanks

Daft question but have you now re locked and unlocked the car with the remote?

Hi no the car won't lock or unlock, battery tester says good health, lights were on all night but switches were off

sounds like your battery has had it. what is the voltage across the terminals?

12.7 battery tester says battery 100 percent health.

try another good known battery to eliminate yours as soon as you turn on the car there is a demand for power from all the electrical components even before you touch the starter it may have dropped to an unusable level.

Just put new battery on still the same no power no locks ect drl lights are on

so nothing electrical at all works ?

Radio works drl is on constantly as are the rear lights that's all that eorks
