Default No power to fuses

Hi all,

This is my first post on the forum so please be gentle.

I have recently helped my god daughter buy a 2014 V40 XC D2 auto. The car was a good price, runs nicely but we bought it knowing it needed some tlc and had a few issues which I’m working through for her.

When we bought the car we were aware that the central locking didn’t work on the remote. Delving into this I have checked the key is operational and emitting a signal, changed the receiver, checked power is present to the receiver and traced back to the CEM where I have found that the stack of fuses 82 to 86 (83 being central locking system) do not have power to them.

I am now questioning whether this is likely to be a faulty CEM or if there is a power source to this section of the CEM that is fused elsewhere or fed from a relay that maybe at fault.

Any help from you guys will be appreciated and gratefully received.

TIA

try looking for any fusible links which supply banks of fuses follow the leads from the battery to search or find some one with vida who can scan and look at wire diagrams.
