Default Incoming: My First Volvo - D4 XC60 R-Design

Hi all

Just wanted to introduce myself as I'll soon be a member of the XC60 club.

I've been freed from the shackles of a company car list, so I've just signed the order for my new XC60 R-Design Lux Nav, D4 FWD in Osmium Grey. An extended test drive convinced me just what a cracking all-round car it is. Options I've ticked are Winter Pack, Front Parking Sensors and Dark Tinted Glass. I'm just wondering whether or not to add the heated steering wheel too...

Roll on mid-April when its due to arrive!

Oh, and a big thanks to RallyChris (I think) for posting pics of his Osmium Grey R-Design on here some time ago. Lurking and finding those sold me on the colour!

Great colour choice - I saw an Osmium Grey XC60 R Design on Saturday in the sunshine, looks fabulous, the best colour for the XC60 currently available IMHO.

Good choice Sir. At £200 (iirc) the Heated Steering wheel is the only thing the Missus comments on that isnt on the car!

Go for it. I ticked most of the options and this is one which really is a bargain on cold frosty mornings.

^^^ what they said, relatively low cost option worth every penny!

FWIW, my must-have (as I have raved about elsewhere here) is the DSP. Yes, ludicrously expensive, but frankly I use the adaptive cruise on most journeys, plus the magic headlights still delight me (maybe easily pleased!)

Enjoy, I like the look of that colour (wasn't available when we got ours).

I totally agree.

I would pay for it every time now I've had it once.

Cheers all. I've just annoyed the leasing company for the second time by adding the heated steering wheel! First time was when I switched the colour from Onyx Black to Osmium Grey.

I've seen the positive feedback for DSP, but I've never had any of those features before and as it's a lease car I won't be seeing a return on anything I add. The radar cruise control looks worthwhile, but I can't see the value in paying for the entire pack.

Pushing for delivery by by 11th April when I start my new role... here's hoping!
