LR Disco Sport is on the same basic (ok heavily updated) floor pan as the XC60, with different rear suspension.
additional seats obviously do add weight, but according the LR the Disco Sport HSE weighs in at c1800 KG, according to the V5, my XC60 weighs in at 1931KG, so on that basis even a 7 seater is likely to weigh less than the current 5 seater (and probably be too light for my caravan)

Jaguar LandRover are heavily committed to Aluminium which really helps on the weight. The new XF is something like 180kg lighter than the old one primarily because of this switch.
I assume the overhauled XC60 will follow suit although I've not put a magnet to my S60 to see what it is made of...
