Just read this and it states the XC60 will be able to take 5-7 occupents.
How is this going to be achieved?

Yes, could be an interesting year ahead.
If I opt for a S90 or V90, I will miss this forum.
Honest, waiting to see what MY17 has to offer for the V60 and XC60 before making any choices.

Is that a poor translation from some other rumour site, or perhaps a robot collated story? Awful! "Unimaginable power" from the 3 cylinder petrol....

Clearly an update is due, dealer briefing have talked about adopting the XC90 controls and infotainment system.

It looks interesting, but I think this article is rather more journalistic anticipation (and graphics) rather than hard facts. For a start, the dashboard is virtually the same as the current model (but we should expect something more like the XC90, I suspect), and they mention the 'soon to be phased out' 2400cc engine. Fiction.

I would expect this will be achieved by a V70 type of "child seat" that folds up from the floor in the boot.
My kids used to love that as an option.

Now it won't compete directly with the XC60 being slightly smaller etc..
but the new Seat Ateca is kicking off with a 1.0l engine fwd (obviously)

Something not quite right with this engine downsizing business

Why do you think it will be difficult for Volvo to achieve 5 -7 seats in a new XC60 ?

The Discovery Sport is the same size and has seven seats !
