Totally agree ULEZ I s##t it, I don't bother going into London anymore.
ANY WHO does anyone know if the V50 has a ATF counter that needs to be reset when dump and fill is complete? If so, do you need to get it reset? If so, how?

Regards

The 3309 norm concerns only one or a few characteristics of the fluid. It does not mean all fluids with the 3309 norm are the same. There are dozens of transmission oil brands that have the 3309 norm, but none of these are 100% identical to each other.

I would choose very carefully which brand with 3309 to use. Ideally, I'd go with the one from the main dealer, or a brand that most people have been happy with. I've used by the past the Valvoline MaxLife 3309 and it was terrible, and have other people saying the same about it. So don't just look for the 3309 norm, look also for a quality brand along with this norm. I think people here are satisfied with Mannol from Germany.

Other brands, Mobil 3309 and Toyota type IV are also quality oils.

Just to give an idea, see how the viscosity of these two fluids both with the 3309 norm, is so much different.

Wright, after all the information overload have decided to go for mobil 3309, the rumour is that's what volvo use, who knows, I take it there is no atf count reset or it doesn't matter, but does anyone know if there is a starting procedure once dump and fill is complete ie start car run through gears so many times? or just start and drive like you stole it?

Regards

Depends.

If you're doing series of partial dumps, then not. It would cause more harm than good. Leave box to adapt at its own pace- it does it continuously anyway.
If you do total flush- opinions are divided. Some say its a good idea, some quite opposite.

It is a good idea to reset oil counter, though.
