Fuel economy
I have just got rid of my 11 plate grand C Max 140bhp which had a tuning box from Bluespark and I got a 10 MPG imrpovement over standard (for me) of 48mpg. Now I have an 09 S40 2.0D 136bhp and I'm getting 45mpg.
I am getting my Bluespark tuning box altered to fit the S40 for £64 including P&P so once it is fitted I hope to see great figures. When I got my S40, startup first thing in the morning was lumpy just like a petrol engine with a faulty spark plug so I have been running on Shell V Max and Redex diesel treatment and it seems to be working. |

I would be cautious using these "tuning boxes", more so with that engine as well. I had one on my previous S40 2.0D 09 and ran into a lot of issues with the tuning box causing it to run into limp mode. I know a few other 2.0D S40's which have also had exactly the same issues, all running tuning boxes.
