Default Pv 444 hub caps

I have a 1958 PV444 with its original hubcaps and original "solid" steel wheels.

They could do with a re.chrome or possibly nickel plating.

I know Amazon hub caps don't fit are there any other period options please?

Brookhouse don't have any suitable options.

The early red centre Amazon caps should fit. Original PV caps are double layer. Stainless outside and steel inside. This makes them virtually impossible to refurbish as any knocks and scrapes can't be tapped out from the inside. The steel also rusts.
Unfortunately new red centre caps are nearly £150 each! Nordicar has them and I'd guess that VP does too.

I have a set of early 544 hub caps, which I am sure are the same as yours. I have not mastered the art of putting photos on this site but if you are interested in them PM me or let me know your mobile number, then I can WhatsApp photos to you. They are in good condition and come complete with outer beauty rings that fit inside wheel rims.
