Newbie to the forum :)
hi all, My name is Laura and i am new to the forum.
We have owned volvo's for the last 3 1/2 years, i had beige v40 1.8 and my husband had a black v40 1.8, until very recently. The black one was 1999 and getting on in the miles, ( it had 153,000 )so we decided to sell it and get something a little fresher. My husband is now the proud owner of the beige one and so began the 3 week long search to find a car for me!! In the early hours of Saturday morning we got the ferry from Northern Ireland to Scotland and drove to Ayr to pick up my new car from a very nice man who agreed to meet us at the ungodly hour of 7.30am. I bought a Metallic black S40 2.0T, and it's a monster compared to the 1.8 estate i had been driving!! I totally love it tho

Welcome! Wonder what it is about s/v40's that make people just want another one! I'm on my second aswell.. went from a 1.8 to a 2.0t might cost a little more to run but it is worth every penny!

Hello and welcome!! I do not agree that 150k is getting on in the miles but can still see why you changed to a turbo!!
If you need advice on anything x40 related, you are in the right place. The people on this forum have advised me and supplied parts to me and you will not find a friendlier bunch of people. Oh, and next time you pass the isle of man, give us a wave!!

thanks everyone for the lovely welcome!!
today was my first chance to really open the turbo up a bit, left a boy racer in a pimped GTI golf like he was standing still!! Could see in my mirror that he was raging and trying his best to catch me up, but with no success!! I really did LOL at him!!!
