Default 1957 PV444 hand brake cable

Need rear handbrake cable(s) for a 1957 PV444-8 California, chassis #137181. This car has the hand brake mechanism under the dashboard, not between the seats. CVI shows part # 6565386 and possibly part #276354 (not sure how to read catalogue) but these parts do not seem to be available anywhere.

I think what's on there now are maybe PV544 brake cables, armored. VP shows part 658842 for a PV544 '58-66 and the cables look a little bit like that.

There is a fitting on the rear suspension arm that I think the cable is supposed to run through (but at present, they do not).

Does anyone know of an appropriate substitute part?

Thank's

Is this an American market thing or were they all like that?

(Meaning the position of the hand brake)

What does #276354 look like, I couldn't find it in the PV catalogues.

I think that I'm specifically looking for part 655386. The CVI catalogue (which I am using for a parts diagram) also refers to part 276354, which I assumed to be a replacement - or might be for a PV445.

I am assuming that there was a change in the part in 1957, because what seems to be available was for model years through 1956.

I could probably use the Dragwire part as well, but the need on that hasn't risen to the level of desperate.

What is the source of your part's drawing? Much clearer than what I have access to.

The other thing I probably need to bite the bullet on is to get a brake drum puller and examine the pads.

The drawing is from the Volvo Parts Book. I offered to send you all of the PV docs and said to PM me if you were interested. Perhaps you missed that. It was on your Petit Le Mans thread.
"If you'd like them I can send you via a file sharing site a comprehensive pack which includes all of the PV parts lists and Green Book workshop manuals along with PV hand books. These cover yours plus earlier and later models. If interested PM me your email address."

I checked #276354 in the P445 book and no sign of it. Is there a chance the number is a chassis number? Maybe from or up to?
