Default I fitted a tracker!

I fitted a tracker to my P1800S - from https://classic-tracker.co.uk/

I was minded to sell the car, but decided to keep it and put more effort into using it and playing with it - so hence the tracker.

I met them at a stall at a show, bought one for show price and fitted it. It was remarkably easy (not having done a great deal with the electrics before) and I'm really happy with it. They were really good at giving advice and guidance.

I am actually quite proud of myself!

I can see the benefits but I'd be a bit concerned some teenage hacker will switch your car off whilst you're crossing a level crossing.

(Sorry to be a bit negative but the internet does have some scary aspects to it)

Is it possible to disable that function at a hardware level rather than at a software one?

You can choose to imobolise something else, like the starter motor. I am not sure if the immobiliser will kick in if the car is moving - interesting question. I shall ask.

You don't have to install the imoboliser at all. You could just track the car and get alerts if it moves out of your garage or moved without the ignition on.

Oh right - I was speed reading their site - may be I got the wrong end of the stick

I suppose it could also give you by the minute updates of situations like this
