Hi Simon.
I am posting on here as I cant send PM's at present. I am looking for a "turn key" vida dice setup please. Do you have any complete units available? Something that I can simply turn on, plug what needs to be plugged in and away we go. I use Mac stuff but am not interested in setting up any sort of virtual machine on it. The vida/dice will be used solely for my Volvo diagnostics at home. Thank you. |

Hello cheshire
I recently bought icarsoft OBD-II reader, specifically engineered just and only for Volvos and Saabs. It reads all other modules just fine, but cannot access the engine module. I contacted the guy who chipped my car, to ask his opinion, are the ecus so different on CNG gas (Bi-Fuel) Volvos that even brand specific code readers are lost. His feels this indeed is the case. My wife’s son has a 2015 V60 Bi-Fuel. He has had engine trouble. He needed to have codes checked. Local Volvo dealerships tell him to take his Volvo some place else because it is the dreaded Bi-Fuel model. (The car is a non dealership import from Sweden.) I am guessing they have trouble accessing the gas side of the engine module. My question is, does your version of OBD-II wizardy read the CNG side of the engine module? |

For anyone else with factory Bi-Fuel models within the usual 1999-2015 model years, Vida reads the car fine and provides additional Bi-Fuel data, parts and repair procedures.

Do you have and VM images ready to go with Windows 7 and Vida installed? Have you any Dice units back in or do the VXNano bluetooth ones work? Cheers |

Thank you Cheshired5 mate.
All received well and good. As a side note. If you ask for a "turn key" set up as I did, thats what you get. I cannot be arsed to monkey around setting up computers and even less so Windows sys. Just follow a few basic email or other instructions, and the jobs a goodun. |
