It's that time of year again
Insurance renewal at the end of the month so I thought I would "Moneysupermarket.com"
Current car with 14,000 miles pa and total of £400 excess coming out at £277 with Churchill, who I am insured with now. Quote for a D5 is £293. Legal on top is another £27, and protecting the no claims will add a bit more but otherwise sounds pretty reasonable to me. |

That is dirt cheap but why dont you lower the excess you will probably only get a few quid rise with 0 excess. Plus your insurance costs less than the deposit for mine but thats what you get for living in manchester lol.

Be wary about no claims protection. What tends to happen is if you make a claim the following year the discount percentage will remain the same. However, the base premium is increased because you are higher risk so net effect is your insurance still goes up and you've been paying for the privelige in advance. Also locks you in as other insurers won't take protected no claims into account if you claim then move on renewal.

I've just done mine, £413 from RAC with 60 days euro cover. Standard cost was £385.
This is actually £7 cheaper than last year!
