Rear Wiper motor
Anyone stripped a rear wiper motor on a 2003 V70. Mines lazy and new ones are nearly £200.
Thanks DDN

Hi DDN,
It may perhaps not be the motor; I had a 1998 T5 with the same symptoms, the problem was the shaft bearing where it comes through the tailgate. Mine was bone dry and tight, stripped and greased it and problem gone. Cost nothing but my time and a bit of grease. Good luck, hope that's all that is wrong on yours too. Regards, Brian. |

I would be curious to know how you get on with curing your problem, DDN, when you have a minute.
As a point of interest, (I had forgotten about this when I posted my first reply) my stepson has a 2004 V70 with the same problem. He is not very adventurous with tools, and used an aerosol can of 3-in-1 after pulling off the black plastic cover on the wiper pivot. That freed his off ok, but in my opinion it still needs some proper grease in there for a lasting repair. Time will tell! Brian. |
