Gearbox Torque Mount
Hi All.
Has anyone replaced the gearbox torque mount on an XC90 2003? I have a small issue on start up where, it feels, the engine moves a little too much. I replaced the top mount as it was shot and this did improve matters, but it hasn't fully cured the issue. So, I'm thinking it is the torque mount. I just watched a Youtube video and they first removed the top mount and front vacuum mount. Now, I did this job on my V70 and it took less time than to make a cuppa! Is it really necessary on an XC90 to remove these other mounts? It seems to me that it is just 4 bolts and a straight swap. But! I can't afford to screw this up as I have a lot of journeys over the next few weeks. If it is a big job, then I'll live with it until I can afford to have the car off the road. If it is a simple as I hope, then I might give it a go this weekend.

The gearbox torque mount job is no different on an xc90. Have at it!

Thanks Joe.
I can't for the life of me think why he removed so many other mounts! I thought it should be straightforward.

Sometimes i loosen the top (anti torque) mount when fitting a new transmission mount. But make sure the front mount (by the crank pulley) is good, otherwise youre wasting your money.
