I own a 240 (Virgo wheels & steel originals when required) plus a Mk1 V70:~

Both cars have had the wheels rotated from front to rear & sides a couple of times now etc,
Pins present and no change whatsoever regarding balance.
Bob.

In the end, ground off the bolt head and cut a slot in the shank so that the bolt can be fitted flush and prevent the disks from moving out of alignment. I used thread lock to secure the bolt - it's a temporary solution until I get some brake disks with flush fitting screws.

After all that, I'm not sure I like the wheels now that they are on the car!

Replace the hex set bolt with a short part-threaded counter sunk hex socket screw and counter sink one of the holes in the rotor, sufficient for the head to be flush with the rotor when fitted.
Also, get a pair of part threaded M18x120mm bolts, cut off the heads and chamfer the ends. These can then be screwed into two hub locations, making alining the wheel to the hub real easy.

Perhaps it's the gold that should be silver

It just needs whitewall tyres and the American look will be complete.

Funny you should say that, I was going for a classic look but as soon as I put the wheels on, I though it made the car look more American.

The choice was black or gold but I thought that black might look like I was trying to make it look more modern.

Thanks for the suggestion but the rear disks are about ready for replacing and although I fitted new front disks less than 3k ago, it's an auto T5 on 286mm so could do with an upgrade.
