Hi, if your talking about the far outside markers behind the amber lens, then they do not flash, only the inboard indicators in the headlights flash.

Hope it helps

No. The side marker lights are just that: marker lights, they are not indicators.

Volvos have used position lights front and rear for years. Look at your XC90 directly from the side and you see the fron marker and the rear taillight are designed to be seen from the side of the car.

FYI, this is standard requirement in the USA.

What type of bulbs are these in a 2005 XC90 with bi-xenons and how easy are they to change?

Hi, just remove the slide bars and lift the headlight out, the lamps then just twist to remove the holder and replace the lamp.

Replace the holder, and replace the headlamp and slide bars. Job done, great design.

Hope it helps.

Sorry, not off the top of my head, but would guess at W5W ... most of the other marker bulbs are that ... Honestly take the headlight out and check ... its 5mins max ... no tools required.

It’s a W5W LongLife bulb.

Make sure you use a LongLife bulb as these bulbs are on all the time.
If you use a non-LongLife bulb, you’ll be replacing them much more often
