More customization for driver display XC90 T8 Google
Ordered a T8 Dark Plus in August 2022, delivery planned for June 2023. Will be a MY2024 with the Google infotainment system.
I recently discovered that there are only two modes to choose from in the driver's display, namely Navigation and Calm. Navigation seems quite logical to me, but Calm just leaves the biggest part of the display blank. A lot of unused space and a missed opportunity, if you ask me. I'm a bit dismayed, to be honest. However, as there are frequent updates to the software (like Apple Carplay that was added several months ago), could there be a chance that the driver display could 'evolve' over time ? Not necessarily other themes but that they at least could make some use of that black blank space. Any ideas (or rumours) ? Last edited by ChristofR; Apr 26th, 2023 at 13:03. |

You're right... it 'could' evolve, but it remains to be seen just how much Volvo will develop the AAOS.
Even getting it to a parity with Sensus would be a start! |

There is a third choice - if you press the rh centre button on the steering wheel you get an information panel - odometer, mpg, etc. It's not pretty though.
