unplug fibre optic cable of your navi unit and then pull gently orange cables off black housing. then connect them as pictured. turn radio on and check if any better. if better you have navi unit problem if not icm is burned.

Hey guys/gals.

About 2 months ago I was driving along with my Satnav telling me the way to La Panne (Belgium) from Lille (France) and I stopped to buy fuel. When I switched on the screen popped up and it said that the system was working then it switched off and re-booted, and re-booted, and re-booted. Each re-boot cut radio.

So, I took out the disc and left the door open.

I took it to Volvo they said that I must have kicked it. So I sent it off for repair. Was repaired twice. Both 'repairs' failed and I was told I have to replace ICM but this doesn't guarantee it will work properly again.

I am really not happy. No idea how it can work 1 min and not work the next, and I am going to have to pay 800 quid plus labour.

ALSO on a seperate note, my Mrs managed to take a chunk out of the back driver side tyre & alloy. Is my car safe to drive around? Is it easy enough to buy a new alloy? How much would they cost on a 2005 XC90 Summum?

Cheers!

Smile Radio and sat nav not working resolved!!!

My radio, sat nav and reversing camera suddenly stopped working 2 months ago. Two VOLVO dealers spent several hours trying to identify the problem.
Prior to booking in for a full day and potentially expensive solution I decided to replace the fuse for the amplifier and the radio.
$4 later Blonde, female VOLVO driver solved the problem!!!
For anyone else with the same issue, I suggest replace the fuse first!

Fuse for amplifier is in the drivers side fuse box, the one you reach from the side. The radio is in the back. Check your manual around page 183.
