well my xc70 lives on. knackered gearbox so I decided pull the engine and gearbox from my breaker. but before this could happen my son in law bought an xc90 from a mechanic. 2 days later the engine was fubar,had the core plug blown out and it had been out some time. so out came my xc70 engine with furbard transmission,then out with deans engine and gearbox. take the good gearbox off the xc90 and replace the fubar one up on xc70,drop the xc70 engine and box back in deans xc90. Then off to mums where my breaker sits and pulled the engine and gearbox.Back to mine and refit with good engine and box.All in back together today and fired first turn of key happy days. My thoughts of a quiet weekend were shattered when my daughters td5 auto spat out its transmission fluid. you know where I will be this weekend.
NEVER AGAIN.
