Anyone here used the Sealey VSE4784 tool to fit the left hand bush ? I've got the tool & bushes but can't quite see how the tool will accommodate the left bush with the larger plate used to mount the exhaust hanger ??

Left hand trailing arm bush
No, it's this one pictured with the larger inboard plate to take the exhaust mounting bracket.

Ahh okay I’ll take a look at mine and see what condition they are in. Over 100k and no invoices to suggest they’ve been replaced. I have to do the rear link rods at some point before the mot so I might get those and change them too.

The right hand side I was able to get out with a bit of persuasion, but the left side was totally seized in. In the end, I had to cut it off with a cutting disk. So a 30 minute job took 3 hours. A mate who knows Mondeos reckons they frequently seize like this. Before doing the job, suggest you order up 4 new bolts.

Thanks for the info, I hate getting half into a job and realising I can’t finish it for the sake of a few bolts. I have a Milwaukee M18 impact gun that should undo them but I don’t reuse old rusty fixings so I will order some bolts. The tie bars are a tenner each by the way so I’ll do them while I’m under the car. All depending on what the insurance company say when they they it for the small accident damage should be this week the body shop will pick it up.
