You could try SGS Engineering of Derby, they have a variety of struts and end fittings available.
I have not interest in the company other than being a satisfied customer.

Does it fit MKII 2008 XC70?
Hi,
I was wondering if the thwo ends of the strut can be unscrewed to replace those for the XC70 MKII 2008. Thanks. |

First you need to fold the back of the back seats down so the dog guard can go further than its normal down position. Then you need to remove the wire clips that hold the balls in the sockets. Rotate the wire clip first to release it, then pull it out from its locating hole. Once you have done that, the strut just lifts off with no force required.
