Default Looking at buying a S70

after thinking about buying a C70 i have decided to go for the S70 basically coz i want a 4 door.

anyway... some help is needed

i realise these cars are a few years old but what scares me is the milage that has been done on some of them.

what is a good price to pay and is mileage a real problem?!

other things taken into consideration are the Auto and man g/box. the consideration being, performance wise(s there much difference) also the petrol consumption(i know its bad already but making it worse, cumon lol)

all help appreciated.

I part exchanged my 97 S70 2.5V 20valve at a dealer a month ago. 120000 miles, but was going very well. Late 20's mpg wise, early 30's on a run. Good performance. Got £2K on my deal. Would recommend them as a good car to buy. Service history, cambelt change at 80K etc.. and if it sounds OK then go for it.

Check for oil leaks as the crankshaft seals can go and its a big job to replace them.

Plus, of course, the air con evaporator! Have the system tested for leaks as it's a dashboard out job to replace it I'm told. I decided to trade my 97 V70 in when it was going to cost me £1500 to replace the evaporator and the air con pump, and the dealer offered me a good price for it against a new C70.
