Crooked Billet: - when is the next one??

Hi, it's been my pleasure to organise the Crooked Billet meetings since around 2002. I have now stood down as Performance Car Register keeper so it's no longer my responsibility. I had an arrangement with the manageress of the Crooked Billet to let her know when we were organising a meet as she wanted to know which Sunday of the month we would be having the event - I just gave her a few weeks' notice - if the member who takes over the arranging of these meets need any help in contacting the pub please let me know! At the last meet we had there last year we had around 35 cars which was fantastic! The last Volvo meet that I went to a few weeks ago at MRG Chippenham proved that there is a thriving interest in performance cars - long may it continue!

i went to a small meet (weather was a bit rubbish) there a few weeks ago

it was my first time at the venue, i didnt realise it was so close to me

i was at the last MRG meet too, shame we didnt meet

what car where you in?

Hi, I met you! My car was the nautic blue S70R having the downpipe fitted. It's a shame that you never got to any of the Crooked Billet meets! I'm only in the town next to you so I'm sure that we can organise some Hampshire performance meets in the winter! John C lives in Andover as well! I'm competing at Castle Comb in October so maybe we can organise a meet there!

ahh i'd thought your car was the red one in your avatar, plus with this forum being down i lost track of who was who

i did meet and chat with alot of good people

i will keep an eye out for future meets

You may no longer be the keeper, Iain but does that necessarilly mean you are not available to arrange the meeting...?
Course you may be too busy at the mo, which i understand, so just tell me to mind my own business then.....

i was thinking the same

isnt it just a case of chosing a location,date and time then posting it up and meeting like minded enthusiasts at said time and place???

thats what i've always done in the past on other forums, car and bike based never had a problem yet!
