Air Damper Motors Re-calibration without VIDA?

Hi gang, I replaced heater core and evaporator last week and now my air circulation system seems to be possessed. If I put it on defrost, sometimes it will work, other times air circ comes out the front vents, if I put on ac sometimes heat comes out, sometimes not. I'm guessing the system needs a re-calibration but unfortunately the car is not in the same location my VIDA/Dice set-up.
