Default 2002 S40 PO135 help needed please

Hello everyone i am new to forums and i am slowly learning my way around this one.
I have a 2002 volvo s 40 1.8 auto
and recently had the check engine light illuminate on the dash so after a diagnostic section i had x3 codes displayed
PO171
PO132
PO133
so after some research i replaced the pre cat O2 sensor and had the faults cleared
i then used the car for around a day and what do you know the engine check light illuminated again so after another reading i now have PO135
O2 heater circuit

The replacement O2 sensor was from ces parts which cost £100 it had the plug fitted and it was a like for like swap for the oe component removed and they were identical in appearance and wire arrangement and color the same.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please
your help is greatly appreciated

It was clearly according to your read error codes the front O2 sensor

But you seemed to have gone from PO132 High voltage supply or PO133 slow O2 sensor response to now after replacement PO135 Heater Circuit Malfunction !!

You have done the correct thing in erasing the codes after sensor replacement but then NOT Volvo replacement.

Yes, they are expensive but if your keeping the car Volvo is the cheapest way to go.

You can check the multiplug for cleanliness and even wait a week so that so many cold starts have been received by the ECU and it should go off, so just drive the motor and then see if the light or codes will go. The heater circuit is only used for the startup but you will still have the light for the MOT time! because of emissions data.

If they don`t then you probably have a duff new cheap O2 sensor.

Everyone does what suits there pocket and can be lucky but then some are not. Even so there should be a part number stamped on the sensor!

If you get no response see if you can prove to the supplier they gave you the incorrect sensor as most probably they are not returnable as it has now been used.

2nd known hand working Volvo replacement is better than cheap new ones

Good Luck
