Default 850 window channel / guide

Hi all

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement window channel for 850 drivers door. It’s a metal u shaped channel with felt lining, that the edge of the glass (closest to B pillar) slides up and down in.

Possibly part no. 9187647 (also fits S70, V70, XC70).

It appears the part is discontinued, but it also seems to be a common failure point - the fixing bracket has corroded and snapped off the main channel, so I found the channel lying loose in the bottom of the door.

Thanks
Chris

That happened to me, so I welded it and it was fine for a while. However, on mine the felt "groove" in it was missing, so the window rattled especially when shutting the door. A very helpful fellow forum member was breaking a car so he kindly sent me a replacement that had a good felt insert, and it's now great.

I reckon your options are a good second hand one or a bit of delicate welding to the one you've got (remove the felt first of course!).

At least V70 and 850 are the same door, so you've got decent scope for getting another one.

Cheers
