Original Advertising
In 1985 when the the 360 was introduced Volvo ran an advert in magazines (Radio times, TV times etc) of a silver 360 driving at dusk past a petrol station, does anybody have any pics of this or remember the advert.
the reason for asking is, my father was the driver and over the years has lost the original pictures. |

That's a nice story!
I once got 52mpg out of my 2.0 carbed 360, at a steady 60mph (I was a poor student...!). I don't believe the near-600 mile claim, though - I seem to recall that even at 50-odd to the gallon, it only did a shade over 500 miles (possibly 550?) to the tank. cheers James

Going on their claim of 47.9mpg and 598 miles. That works out at 12.48434238 gallons. In new money that is 56.755 litres. The green book has the tank capacity down as 57 litres.
(I think you have to instinctively know where the bottom of the tank is though. On a B14, whenever I run it down to the bottom of the red on the gauge, I still only get 38 litres in, so there must be another 7 hiding somewhere.) |

Hi guys, I'm not usually on the 300's section but saw your question.
Why not do a search on ebay - there's often people selling old magazines. If not, save the the search so it emails any matches to you. It might take a while but it might also work. Good luck. Rgds

K9plums, I appreciate your guidance and apologies for not reading all the post, reading as I did early in the morning.
However, my post still stands since it's a valid suggestion which the earlier poster had not made and that if he wanted an original, rather than a scanned in & uploaded copy then ebay would be a good place to start. {Makes mental note to go back to 740/940 forum where flaming occurs less frequently.} Cherio.
