Wheel offset is the measured distance from the wheel's hub mounting surface to the centre line of the wheel. It lets you know how much the wheel will stick out from the hub mounting surface. The wheel offset can be positive, negative or zero depending on how the tyre sits in the wheel. Different size alloys usually have different offsets, so some alloys sit closer to the hub, some sit further away etc. As your car has original wheels, then this probably isn't the issue in your case, so I wouldn't be too concerned about this. I've had another look at your video. I think you need to check the spring seats (at the top of the strut).

Update - 4 wheels alignment at vovlo - no difference
Quote:
Today I took it to Volvo and they performed a 4 wheels alignment, it cost me 160 pounds and did not do much difference. Now their chief technician is asking me to ask other owners of the same model if theirs' do the same !!!! I am pretty sure the answer will be no; meanwhile he will look at answers and so I will do. if we don't reach any solutions then i will have to take it there anew for a consultancy with UK central Volvo then Sweden ! |
