Smile Looking for Volvo 760

Good Morning everyone.
Im hoping someone can help me. Im looking for my father in laws old Volvo 760 (1984) and was wondering if anyone has seen it about or knows of its whereabouts. The Registration number is B760 PCL.
This use to be his pride and joy and he was really sad to get rid of it back when they changed the Petrol from Leaded to Unleaded.. He thought it might have cost him alot of money to change then alot later on he found out that it wouldn't have cost him alot at all and was gutted. Me and the wife would love to find this car and if its still about buy it.

Thanks for Reading
Andy

I suspect it's off the road, you can check a vehicle's status here, and it doesn't appear to have tax or MOT. I don't think it's due exemptions from these, but someone with more experience in these matters could confirm.

Sorry to be pessimistic but, the fact that it's on the system I don't think means much, I don't think cars are removed. I just checked a '92 fiesta, I owned, it similarly stopped being taxed in 2004, I'm pretty sure that Fiesta isn't being looked after somewhere.

Still, I hope you find it, best of luck.

I've just looked on the MoT history Andy and it doesn't show that it's had any MoTs - the system goes back to ~2005 so it hasn't had an MoT (even a failed test) since then.

Looking on the tax status of it on the other .gov site, the tax became due on 19th August 2004 - in other words it would have been surrendered for refund on 18th/19th August implying the car was sent to the car park in the sky.
Also the last V5C issued was 5th March 2004 so it sounds as if it was bought on or shortly before that day by its last owner who then sent it to be retired.

First link is the MoT History check, second is the tax status and also shows when the last V5C was issued.

I know this isn't what you were hoping to hear and i'm sorry about that but on the upside at least you now know. There is a very tiny chance it's been lurking in a barn/garage somewhere since but the chances of that and then finding it are very small.

Thanks again Dave for your help.
