Not that I'm trying to teach you how to suck eggs but just confirming, when you click on the A to B route details, it gives you the full detailed route track showing the full trip and allows you to select a point in the journey and will show you the exact speed, fuel consumption, elec consumption etc at that point in the journey or can you just see the overall trip details for the trip i.e. point A to point B trip time, distance, fuel consumption, elec consumption etc?

The latter has worked throughout, the former is the bit that is of interest.

sort of you click on the map with the a and b on it it then changes to show you the route with a graph underneath showing speed mpg etc... but it doesn't show you where on the route exactly . It would be nice to have a dot which went along the route when you clicked on the graph.

tried to attach screenshot , hopefully the link works.

Excuse the comedy element in the screenshot

Thats the detailed one. Good to see its still working on some peoples cars!!
When it was working on mine, you could select a point along the graph at the bottom and it would indicate on the map above where that point happened. Very useful overall but as I mentioned, quite scary how much detail is displayed as you could see every aspect of the journey including the speed at any point.

Would be interesting to know if Volvo would be obliged to hand over this data to the police in the event of a road traffic accident as the police could see how the car was being driven at the time.

Can’t remember who emailed them, but a follow up with that screenshot would be interesting to hear the reply on if they’re saying it’s “not available”. I could of course ask myself....

Although have to say they may not see the comedy angle....

I think Arty68’s screenshot should definitely be sent to the Volvo call handler who said it wasn’t available in the UK, though I fear they may miss the point made by the splendid Worcestershire place naming...

I’ve sent another email to Volvo with the screenshot asking how I can enable this feature on my car.

Let’s see what they come back with now.

Just got a response from VOC from when I supplied the screen capture in an earlier post.

Quote:
Thank you for providing the pictures, this may be related to an issue that we're aware of.

We could need our technicians to look into this for you
They then go on to ask me who my local Volvo retailer is so they can be made aware and arrange for them to investigate.

Seems odd that my local retailer has to be involved. At least this exchange is more helpful than the last one.

Mate it’s the same stock reply that everyone gets from Volvo U.K. for any app related things. I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Their customer service for me has been poor. Perhaps it’s the same for all brands, though saying that when a mate of mine had an issue with his new Polestar 2, the MD of Polestar wrote to him directly to sort the issue which was nice to see.

I’ve had a long running issue between myself and Santander (which Volvo were zero assistance with) and which ultimately the ombudsman agreed with me on. Cue compensation etc. And thank god I had bought the car on finance because without the ombudsman involved I have no doubt it would still not have been resolved.

But Volvo U.K., no interest, no help, nothing. Despite them being the ones who supplied a faulty vehicle in the first place (v60 cross country 69 plate)

Santander were the worst of the worst though. Honestly guys if you’re going PCP then stay away from Santander. Look up their reviews if you don’t believe me.

When the ombudsman found against them and ordered them to send me compensation monies, Santander just sent the money across. No letter. No apologies for their behaviour. Nothing.

The only one in your corner will be your dealer, if they are any good and if they think that one day they will be selling you another car!

Rant over..! 😂

Just had an email from my local dealer asking me to get in touch to look into the VOC issue.

Waiting for a call back now. Hopefully he's got the story that this is about the enhanced consumption graph and not the basic trip details.

Just spoke with someone from Volvo. The car will need to be booked in to install software that will fix the route planning in the VOC app.

Not sure when I'll find time to get this sorted out (and I'm in no real hurry).

Might get them to install Apple Carplay at the same time, which will help in the navigation side of things.
